Ms. Atley brings warmth, energy, and creativity to every session, making learning come alive for children of all ages.

Whether you're a parent, caregiver, educator, or community partner, Story Time is a joyful way to connect kids with books and build a lifelong love of reading.

Each week will focus on a different early literacy component which can aid caregivers in supporting their child's reading journey.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, this is a ticketed event.

Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the circulation desk beginning 30 minutes before each session.

A second session also runs on the same day from 11am-12pm

Hope Women’s Center is offering a free class designed to help women build resilience and navigate life’s challenges.

This class focuses on practical tools you can use in your daily life—no experience needed.

In this class, you’ll learn:

• Coping strategies for stress and life transitions
• Ways to support emotional and mental health
• Tools to build resilience during difficult times
• How to create healthy boundaries and self-care routines

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors meets in regular session at the county complex in Florence. This is the meeting where the Board votes: zoning cases, county contracts, budget items and the decisions that shape unincorporated San Tan Valley all move through here.

Meetings are open to the public, and there is time set aside for public comment. Agendas are posted by the county ahead of each session.

A Gentle Place to Connect, Smile, and Belong

From Joy to Jubilation (FJTJ) Outreach provides relaxed gatherings for adults 18 an over. It’s where any individual experiencing loneliness, isolation or emotional distress can enjoy fun creative activities and socialize in a welcoming and safe environment.

FJTJ encourages self-care, reduces isolation, and fosters kindness, connection, and emotional support for one another.

We are a non-clinical group providing social activities such as canvas painting, crafts, interactive games, etc.

All are welcome and activities are free.

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. You will gain insight from hearing the challenges and successes of others, and the groups are led by trained leaders who have been there.

NAMI's support groups are unique because they follow a structured model to ensure you and others in the group have an opportunity to be heard and to get what you need.

• Free of cost to participants
• Designed for adults (18+) with mental health conditions
• Led by people with mental health conditions
• No specific medical therapy or treatment is endorsed
• Confidential
• No need to be a veteran — all are welcome
• 90 minutes long, on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month

San Tan Valley has been a town for one year, and the Town is marking the anniversary with a free pancake breakfast open to everyone.

In the Town's own words: "Come celebrate one year of incorporation with the Town of San Tan Valley! Join us for a morning of free pancakes, family-friendly activities, and community connection as we celebrate this exciting milestone together."

Come join the Master Gardeners of the San Tan Valley as they present a topic of interest on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 1:30 - 3 PM. Topics are wide-ranging but all related to gardening in our region. These awesome volunteers also enjoy answering your questions about the challenges you are having in the garden.

San Tan FEASTival takes place every 3rd Saturday every month, right here in San Tan Valley, bringing together food, music, and family-friendly fun in one community gathering.

Each event features 15–25 food trucks offering a wide variety of menu options, along with live music and activities for all ages.

San Tan FEASTival is designed as more than just a typical food truck stop — it’s a community event where residents can enjoy local vendors, entertainment, and time with family and friends.

Admission is free.

Real gear. Real trucks. Real firefighters. Teens aged 14 to 18 get a morning inside a working fire station, and not the tour version either.

Participants pull on actual turnout gear and find out how fast they can suit up. They handle a hose line, run the rescue drag stations under supervision, and walk the morning apparatus check with the crew to see every tool that comes off the engine. There is a live CPR demonstration, a tour of where the crew actually lives, eats and sleeps across a 24 hour shift, and then lunch with the firefighters for the questions that matter: what it pays, what the schedule is really like, what school you need, and how each of them got in.

Free, and lunch is included. Space is capped at 20 and it is first come, first served, with a waitlist for a possible second session, so register early.

Wear closed toe shoes and long pants, skip anything with drug, alcohol or offensive graphics, and bring a water bottle. Group home staff need to attend with participants.

Instructor/Owner Lisa from Yoga with Lisa invites you to come take part in this monthly session...gentle enough for beginners. This one-hour session gives you an introduction into the type of classes offered at the studio. Wear loose clothes and bring a yoga mat and water bottle. Registration is requested.

Central Arizona College is turning the San Tan Valley campus loose for the evening, and it is free to get in and free to park.

There is trick or treating, a costume contest worth dressing up for, and a haunted hallway for anyone brave enough. The mad science labs are the part people talk about afterwards. Add music, games, and a vendor and food market, and you have a solid three hours of an October Saturday sorted.
