Parts of State Route 88 (the Apache Trail) near Canyon Lake will be closed for several hours late Thursday night, April 26, for paving work, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Development utility work will begin Friday, April 27th at 9 pm with lane closures along Hunt Hwy between Stonecreek Drive and Chestnut Trail.

Motorists regained access to Johnson Ranch Boulevard from Hunt Highway Thursday afternoon, a day earlier than expected.

Continued construction needed along Hunt Highway will begin the morning of April 30th causing a full closure on Hunt Highway from Red Road to Johnson Ranch Boulevard/Gantzel Road scheduled to last through August 24, 2018.

Phase two of the Riggs Road project will extend Riggs from Crismon to Meridian, providing an important east-west connector for Queen Creek and the region.

Motorists will regain access to Johnson Ranch Boulevard from Hunt Highway on Friday, April 27th. However, continued construction needed along Hunt Highway will begin shortly afterwards on April 30th.

Motorists using Interstate 10 should budget extra time with overnight lane restrictions required next week (April 23-27) for a widening project in Casa Grande, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Temporary asphalt repairs will take place at the intersection of Hunt Hwy and Gantzel Road beginning at 9 a.m. on April 10th.

Starting April 16th, there will be lane restrictions on Gantzel Road between Lone Star Road and Combs Road.

AVOID Gantzel Rd southbound south of Empire Rd for the next several hours due to traffic incident. Some roads closed.

Beginning Thursday, March 22nd development related utility work will cause a closure on San Tan Heights Boulevard north of Mountain Vista Boulevard.

Drivers in San Tan Valley have another route to take going north and south in the area.

While the Gantzel Road extension to Hunt Hwy is now open, Johnson Ranch Boulevard remains closed at Hunt Highway for crews to work at the Hunt Highway/Johnson Ranch intersection to construct concrete curbing, install box culverts as part of the drainage improvements, and prepare the grade and subsurface as part of the transition for the new Gantzel Road Extension at the intersection.

The Town of Queen Creek is shifting lanes for Empire Rd eastbound and westbound at the Ellsworth road intersection. 

Over the weekend, on March 10th and 11th, SRP will be working on the electric system in the area of Gantzel Road and the Professional Village south of Combs Road.

Contractor crews continue work on remaining elements of the retention basin, channel and access road north of Magma Road on the west side of Hunt Highway. This work is primarily taking place off the roadway; however, there are traffic barricades set up at the shoulder to protect the work zone.

On March 14th there will be repair work on a section of the wire rope safety fence along the median of Ironwood Drive approximately 1.5 miles south of McCormick Parkway.

Scheduled to begin Friday, March 16, Johnson Ranch Boulevard will be CLOSED at Hunt Highway for crews to work at the Hunt Highway/Johnson Ranch intersection to install traffic signals, and prepare the grade and subsurface as part of the transition for the new Gantzel Road at the intersection.

Construction continues as any remaining utilities relocate their facilities to accommodate the project. This work is primarily taking place off the roadway; however, there are traffic barricades set up at the shoulder to protect the work zone.

Ironwood Drive from the Elliot Road alignment to Germann Road will start a fresh oil application on southbound lanes approximately at 8:00 AM on March 2nd.
