Gantzel Road is CLOSED from Empire Rd to Painted Desert Dr due to accident
December 23, 2022, around 1:30pm, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office was called to a 2-car crash near Gantzel & Painted Desert Dr in San Tan Valley.
A southbound vehicle crossed into northbound lanes and collided with a northbound vehicle. Both occupants of the southbound vehicle died in the collision.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The scene is under investigation, and there is no estimated time for reopening the roadway.
