Nogales Spirit Bus

Last night our boys’ basketball team opened up state tournament play with a resounding victory over the visiting Prescott Badgers 80-53. With this win we now move on to round 2 of the tournament by traveling to Nogales tomorrow, Saturday February 16th. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM. The Poston Butte Athletic Department is sponsoring a Spirit Bus for students and their families to watch the game. The cost of the ride is $10.00 which does not include the entry fee and you must bring your school I.D.

It was “Senior Night” at Davis Field last Friday and fourteen Prospector players donned the “Black and Gold” jerseys one last time. And while their season didn’t end they way they had hoped it would, with a 58-7 loss to Poston Butte to finish 1-9 overall, at least for one Apache Junction senior, the 2012 season will be remembered as one for the record books.
