This Thursday, Sept 20th at 9:00 a.m., the Pinal County Planning and Zoning Commission will be asked to approve a zoning request. The request, being made by Blake McKee et al, is asking to rezone an area in San Tan Valley currently zoned as General Rural (GR) to General Commercial Zoning District (C-3) in order to build a commercial retail center on 3.6+ acres.  Some residents however are not pleased.

Supervisor Goodman Sued for Trespass and Defamation Over Reporting on San Tan Valley Fire Hydrant Water Pressure Testing

Attorneys for Johnson Utilities, LLC filed a lawsuit today accusing Pinal County Supervisor Mike Goodman of illegally trespassing to access Johnson Utilities’ fire hydrants for, what he claimed was water pressure testing, and used the information to defame Johnson Utilities by falsely reporting to various media outlets that certain, unidentified hydrants failed these tests.

Propositions 416 and 417 are being decided on in a mail-in ballot election. That means there are no voting booths. Mailed ballots must arrive at the elections office by November 7th. If you have not yet mailed in your ballot and are concerned it won’t arrive in time you can deliver your ballot now through November 7th.
