State Representatives serving Pinal County issued a statement today to highlight important guidance for eligible residents who are seeking to obtain a COVID-19 vaccination and urge anyone who is in a vulnerable population to consider vaccination. District 8 Representatives David Cook and Frank Pratt, District 11 Representatives Mark Finchem and Bret Roberts, and District 16 Representatives John Fillmore and Jacqueline Parker said the following:
"For many, especially within vulnerable populations, the arrival of a COVID-19 vaccine is a very welcome relief. Our challenge and focus now is on ensuring its availability and accessibility for all who are eligible and seeking to receive it."The COVID-19 vaccine is being allocated through local health jurisdictions and remains in limited supply at this time, including in Pinal County. Because of this, counties are following a vaccine prioritization phased approach.
"Pinal County is currently in Priority Phase 1B, which includes education and childcare workers, protective services occupations, adults aged 75 and older, and remaining 1A-eligible individuals.
"To determine your eligibility, or to find the most up-to-date information about how and where you can register to receive the vaccine, please visit this dedicated page on the Arizona Department of Health Services website:
"The State of Arizona has also set up a new no-cost vaccination site located at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale. This site will operate 24 hours a day and serve thousands of eligible Arizonans, regardless of which county they reside in.
