San Tan Valley Veteran Receives Lifesaving Gift Just in Time

goodman-ac

Amid sweltering Arizona temperatures, the community of San Tan Valley witnessed an act of generosity that not only warmed hearts but also brought a much-needed respite from the heat for a local veteran and his family.

Ariel Cepeda, a former Marine and father of three, has been residing in his nearly two-decade-old San Tan Valley home. With the relentless summer heat threatening the comfort and safety of his family, Cepeda was becoming increasingly concerned about his aging air conditioner, which, to make matters worse, gave up the ghost on a particularly sweltering Friday morning.

However, destiny had a sweet surprise in store. Expecting a free tune-up for his faltering A/C as part of ACE Home Services' military members program, Cepeda was left "head over the moon with joy" when he instead received a brand-new Goodman air conditioner, valued at a whopping $10,000. The timing couldn't have been more impeccable. As Cepeda himself put it, "It was a miracle they came today to fix the A/C unit."

Cepeda, who has an illustrious history of service having been stationed at Luke Air Force Base for eight years and serving as a bulk fuel specialist in the reserves, was deeply moved by the gesture. With temperatures slated to soar over 110 degrees, the gift was not just about comfort, but potentially the safety of his family and home. Expressing his gratitude, Cepeda said, "I just feel very appreciative of what they do and [am] head over heels saying, 'Thanks for your service and all that stuff'. But I'm the one that's grateful for them because they have literally saved my house from being destroyed by the heat."

The heartwarming initiative by ACE Home Services is not a one-off event. For the past four years, they have annually gifted a deserving veteran with a brand-new air conditioner. Speaking about the initiative, James Sesay from ACE Home Services remarked, "This is just a continuation of what we do every year. It's very near and dear to our heart. We want to make sure that no Marine or any veteran has to suffer in extreme temperatures if they don't have to."

At a time when acts of kindness seem more vital than ever, the San Tan Valley community stands as a shining example, reminding us all of the importance of looking out for our neighbors, especially those who have served our nation.
