Rural Metro Gets a Special Surprise Visit
The Rural Metro Fire crew at Station 841 in San Tan Valley, received a surprise visit this morning. A local San Tan Valley resident named Avery stopped by to bring the crew a special gift.
Avery, who is battling Leukemia, stopped by the station to celebrate her good friend Kameron, who lost his fight to Leukemia a year ago today. Kameron, who loved firefighters, wanted to be a firefighter when he grew up. To honor his memory, Avery wearing a custom shirt made especially for her and her friend as they battled leukemia together, brought the crew donuts and lots of smiles.
The crew surprised and appreciative, couldn't believe the kind gesture.
"Thank you Avery! Thank you Avery! Thank you for your huge heart ❤️🚨🚒 We love you and pray for you in your fight against Leukemia."
