FOUND: PCSO Searching for Runaway Juveniles

UPDATED DEC 24, 2022 @ 11:32AM: Both children have been found and are safe.

Detectives have learned of a more recent sighting of KJ Conklin, 12. He was seen at the Walmart in Queen Creek on December 20, around 8 p.m. (photos below). Please remain vigilant and call (520) 866-5111 if you know where the child may be.

While investigating the disappearance of Kelly "KJ" Conklin, detectives interviewed his parents and other children in the home. Kelly Conklin, 46, and Melissa Conklin, 39 were taken into custody on other child abuse charges. The charges are not directly related to the disappearance of the 12-year-old.

There were a total of 8 children in the house, from ages 1 to 17. There were 5 adopted children - including KJ, 2 foster children, and 1 biological child. The Department of Child Safety has taken custody of the children.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is searching for Jalen Conklin, 14, and Kelly Conklin, 12. 

They were last seen around 4 p.m. in the area of Combs and Gantzel Roads. They are presumed to be together.

Jalen Conklin has curly, dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and no shoes.

Kelly "KJ" Conklin has dark black hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, gray camo pants and no shoes.

UPDATE: 

Dec 23, 2022: According to PCSO, detectives interviewed Conklin's parents and other children in the home while investigating the boy's disappearance. Kelly Conklin, 46, and Melissa Conklin, 39, have since been arrested on child abuse charges that deputies say are not directly tied to the disappearance of Kelly.

Dec 21, 2022: Jalen, aka Jordan, has returned home.  Kelly, aka KJ, is still missing.
