Judge Shaun Babeu announced that he will provide free wedding ceremonies for the entire month of February 2022 at his local San Tan Valley Courthouse. Judge Babeu said, "This year, it has been 12 years that I've had the honor to serve as the elected Justice of the Peace for my community. We deal with a lot of difficult cases and conflict yet performing wedding services is always such a joyful event - a celebration of love and ultimate commitment for a couple."

Judge Babeu joked, "There may be a run on marriage licenses in the month of February! I'll make the time at lunch, in between hearings or after court hours to ensure that everyone who wants to be married in my court gets married."

Judge Babeu continued, "My parents were married for 58 years. At the center of their marriage was their faith in God and a commitment to their marriage and family. I was blessed to experience the strength of their relationship and how it impacted our family and greater community. My wife and I work at strengthening our marriage and to provide a nurturing environment for our children. Every family is different, and my hope is to encourage the commitment of marriage."

Judge Babeu concluded, "To support the institution of marriage and encourage the commitment of loving couples, I'll be performing weddings throughout the month of February at no cost."
