The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office is asking parents to be more diligent today and in the coming days around bus stops and schools. The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office is requesting any suspicious activity be reported by dialing 911 immediately. Do not approach anyone acting suspicious.

The Florence Unified School District will be working with the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office to ensure the continued safety of your children as they come to and from school. The description of the man is as follows:

  • 5 foot 8 White or Hispanic Male
  • Estimated 200 lbs.
  • Estimated to be around 30 years of age.
  • Was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans this morning when he approached the female high school student.

Again, please call 911 if you see anything suspicious.

COMMUNITY ALERT FROM PCSO:

There have been at least two incidents where elementary aged girls have been followed or chased by an adult male described as white or Hispanic male, 5'8" 200 pounds, bald, with a beard. A possible vehicle is a white Chevrolet sedan. These incidents took place near the canal area in the neighborhood off of E. Paso Fino Way and N. Caspian Way.

A third and possibly related incident involves a similarly described suspect who exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl this morning near Desert Willow Blvd. and Thisle Trail. The victim in this case said the man may have gotten out of a white Chevrolet sedan parked along the street.

Deputies are stepping up patrols in these areas and we are encouraging residents to call us if they see anyone suspicious in these areas. Parents should make sure their kids know what to do if confronted with a situation like this.
