15th San Tan Valley BBQ: Where the Desert Heat Meets Smokin' Grills and Good Company

stv-bbq

Residents of San Tan Valley are preparing their taste buds and dusting off their lawn chairs for the 15th Quarterly BBQ, set to take place on Saturday, April 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. The beloved community event will be held at the usual picturesque, 4-acre desert oasis, located at 27382 N. Dolores Place, offering stunning views of Picacho Peak and the Malpais section of the San Tan Mountains.

With a casual atmosphere and finger-licking food, the Quarterly BBQ has become the go-to event for community bonding in this unincorporated area. In fact, the gathering has grown so popular that the host, Neal Carter, jokes, "I guess as the area grows, so do the attendees!"

The event has attracted a veritable who's who of local and state politicians, including Sheriff Mark Lamb, County Supervisor Mike Goodman, and state legislators Mark Finchem, John Fillmore, and Jake Hoffman. But don't worry, there won't be any filibustering at this BBQ – just good ol' fashioned conversation and laughs.

The event provides an excellent opportunity for residents to mingle with neighbors, community leaders, and elected officials in a laid-back, friendly setting.

This year, the BBQ will be firing up hamburgers, hot dogs, and plenty of drinks, all free and open to the public. And to ensure the food is top-notch, Culinary Arts students from the acclaimed Central Arizona College program will be donning their chef hats and wielding their spatulas.

Ample on-street parking is available, and special handicapped parking will be reserved on the parcel itself, complete with signage, lighting, and a parking attendant for inquiries or assistance.

So, mark your calendars and bring your appetites, San Tan Valley residents! The 15th Quarterly BBQ promises a smokin' good time, filled with food, laughter, and the best kind of politics – the ones that bring people together.
