Legacy Traditional Schools names Jennifer Turney principal of new San Tan Valley campus

Jennifer Turney

Legacy Traditional Schools – a network of public, tuition-free charter schools in Arizona, Nevada, and Texas – announced long-time Arizona educator Jennifer Turney as Principal of Legacy's new San Tan Valley campus, opening in fall 2022.

"I'm excited to bring the Legacy culture and curriculum that has been so successful elsewhere in our network to this beautiful new campus in San Tan Valley," said Principal Turney. "We have had a tremendous response from families in the community already – I can't wait to open the doors and welcome students to our latest Legacy school."

Principal Turney brings more than two decades of education experience to her new role at Legacy-San Tan. She has been the Principal at Legacy-North Chandler since the 2020-2021 school year. Prior to joining Legacy, Turney taught students from kindergarten through college at various school districts throughout Arizona, as well as Prescott College. During her time as Principal of Rim Country Middle School, in Payson, she helped secure thousands of dollars in grants to improve student instruction and technology.

Principal Turney holds a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. She also holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Education in Counseling from Northern Arizona University.
