Long Time Pinal County Resident Amanda Stanford Announces Run for Clerk's Office

Citing dubious financial management as well as lackadaisical leadership, Stanford seeks the office in order to “right a sinking ship.” Stanford, with thirteen years of government experience, and the “point person” for audits and all Finance Operations at the Clerk’s office, intends on returning integrity and adherence to the “letter and spirit of the law, Arizona statutes, and Judicial Canons of Conduct” within the beleaguered Office of the Clerk.

“Morale has never been lower than it is now, and I have been with the Clerk’s office for six years,” Stanford stated. “Every financial decision has crossed my desk,” she continued, “and some of the purchases have made me cringe as a conservative.” Candidate Stanford feels that leadership and direction are missing in this key Pinal County department.

“How can any solid fiscal conservative justify almost a half a million dollars in consulting fees to train an office of less than one hundred people?” Stanford, with over 13 years in government service understands the public sector and the need to integrate key principles from the private sector in order to maintain a vibrant and responsive Clerk’s office.

Stanford’s team of enthusiastic conservatives intend on releasing information about mishandled finances, a top-heavy organization, dubious hiring practices and large-scale data security issues.

“When you know better, you do better,” stated Stanford. “I know that the voters of Pinal County want to hold their elected officials to a higher standard, and I welcome the opportunity to be held to the highest standard possible…the electorate deserves no less.”
