Highest slam dunk made by Globetrotters star in Eloy caught on camera

hammerharrison Hammer Harrison, Globetrotters star Harlem Globetrotters

In honor of the fourth annual World Trick Shot Day, in Eloy on Tuesday, the infamous Harlem Globetrotters showed off what they do best. One of their very own successfully made the highest slam dunk ever.

Hammer Harrison of the Globetrotters skydived 13,000 feet at Skydive Arizona and made a slam dunk right before landing. The historical moment got captured on video.

Harrison, who will be in his 11th season with the Globetrotters by 2020, is known for making jaw-dropping dunks. Last year during World Trick Shot Day, he made an over 850 feet dunk off the Stratosphere in Las Vegas.

"We work on trick shots every day, though the skydive trick shot is not one of them," said Harrison in a statement. "We practice them because it's such a thrill for us, and for our fans. Our fans give us such great feedback when we post them. We love getting the chance to see what they can do, too."

The Globetrotters franchise says World Trick Shot Day is an opportunity to pay homage to the trick shot and give fans a chance to showcase what they can do with a basketball and some creativity. With almost 100 years on the court, the Globetrotters have built a reputation on their amazing trick shots. Currently, 22 Guinness World Records are held by stars from the team.

Right now, the Globetrotters are prepping for the 2020 "Pushing the Limits" World Tour, where they will play in more than 250 North American markets and 30 countries. For those interested, tickets can be purchased here.
