First Doses of Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Arrive in Pinal County
On December 9, 2020, Pinal County Public Health ordered 10,000 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, which was the maximum allowed during this first order. Pinal County Public Health chose to move forward with community partners in one collective effort vaccinating Healthcare professionals, the first priority 1a group.
Pinal is excited to announce that a small number of community partners, previously approved by ADHS to provide the COVID 19 vaccine in our County, have received their first allotment today.Those providers will vaccinate their internal healthcare workers. Shipments of the first allotment are still in progress for today, tomorrow, and Wednesday, so not all "ADHS Onboarded providers" in Pinal County have received the vaccine yet.
Providers will message out to healthcare professionals when they are ready to vaccinate. Priority groups can be viewed on the Pinal County Public Health website or in the table below. Long term care residents will be vaccinated through a separate federal program which is in place.
