Country Thunder has been officially postponed due to coronavirus

Country Thunder Music Festival has officially been postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to a press release from Country Thunder, event organizers are concerned about the safety and health of their fans and staff, which is what led to the postponement.

The decision came after Thursday's announcement from Governor Ducey, who announced plans to ban gatherings of more than 50 people in six counties, including Pinal county.

Country Thunder is working to arrange future dates for the festival in the coming weeks.

"We look forward to finalizing new dates and getting back to the desert later in the fall," says Country Thunder CEO, Troy Vollhoffer.

Fans will be able to get their tickets and camping options for the rescheduled dates.
