Kiwanis International will be presenting its annual Holiday Parade and Festival this Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The parade and festival benefits the Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley, Queen Creek Branch, and will be held on Ellsworth Road and at the Queen Creek Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. Temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be put in place before and during the parade. Motorists are encouraged to obey posted signs, traffic control devices, and directions from law enforcement officers controlling traffic.

Traffic Alerts Map Sept. 15-22 Combs and Meridian roads A flagger will be present controlling westbound traffic between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to allow trucks involved in a truck haul to make left-turns onto Meridian Road from Combs Road. Drivers are advised to use extra caution in the area due to increased truck activity during these times.
LOCAL TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: 1. Queen Creek Road: Crismon Road to 220th Street Crews continue to work to widen Queen Creek Road in this area. Traffic will be shifted while the work progresses. Drivers can expect reduced posted speed limits, and flaggers and off-duty law enforcement controlling traffic in this area. 2. Power Road north of Riggs Road - Crews continue to work to widen Power Road in this area. The east shoulder will remain closed while the work continues. 3. Sossaman Road north of Riggs Road  - The northbound right travel lane will be closed while repair work takes place.

1.    Ocotillo Road: Power to Sossaman roads Ocotillo Road remains closed in this area while crews from Southwest Gas install a new high pressure gas line. The closure is anticipated to last through June 10. Access for local traffic will be maintained from Power Road to 186th Place. Local and thru traffic will not be permitted east of 186th Place.

This weeks traffic alerts for the week of June 9-16 provided by the Town of Queen Creek. 1.    Ocotillo Road: Signal Butte to Meridian roadsCrews will be working on the shoulder of Ocotillo Road in this segment, which will necessitate the closure of only the shoulder.

AREA TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: 1. Queen Creek Road east of Sossaman Road A material haul will be taking place on Monday, Oct. 1 and Tues., Oct. 2 between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Trucks will be hauling westbound on Queen Creek Road to Sossaman Road, then north for a short distance. Drivers can expect slow-moving vehicles in this area.
Traffic Alerts Map Sept. 22-29 1.    Combs and Meridian roadsFlaggers will be present controlling traffic on Combs Road and Meridian Road for a truck haul.
The northbound lanes of Ironwood Drive in Apache Junction are scheduled to be closed or restricted on Monday (Oct. 19) and Tuesday (Oct. 20) for routine maintenance.
Traffic Alerts Outside of Area: Ellsworth Road - Empire Boulevard to San Tan Boulevard – A northbound double lane closure will be in place on Ellsworth Road for water and sewer line tie-ins for a new development. These restrictions will be in place for 24 hours a day beginning at 9 a.m. on Oct. 30 to Nov. 1.
