Pinal County Public Works will begin construction on Gantzel Road, Bella Vista Road & Hunt Highway Improvements. The project is expected to be completed by Jan 2017.
Hunt Hwy Improvement WorkRoadwork on Hunt Highway between Thompson Road and Empire Boulevard, beginning March 3rd, to last over a month. Work to include a speed reduction and a lane closure for both directions of travel. Please plan ahead, expect delays and use caution driving through work zones. Your patience is appreciated. 
The Arizona Department of Transportation is reducing the speed limit from 50 mph to 45 mph on five miles of old US 60 in the East Valley, between Sossaman and Meridian roads.

Pinal County Public Works is alerting drivers along Hunt Highway that several Public Utilities will be working on relocations required for the upcoming widening project between Stone Creek Drive and Bella Vista Road.
State Route 79, in the Town of Florence (mileposts 134-138) will have restrictions in both directions beginning Monday (Jan. 18) through Friday (Jan. 22) from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow crews to make improvements to the roadway.
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is administering a safety pullout project on behalf of the City of Apache Junction on Ironwood Drive between Elliot to Baseline roads in Pinal County.
The westbound I-10 to westbound I-8 ramp in Pinal County will be closed around the clock beginning early Monday morning (Jan. 4) through late February. Drivers wishing to access westbound I-8 will be detoured to Jimmie Kerr Boulevard to eastbound I-10 to westbound I-8.
Summary of Traffic Restrictions Updated Dec 15th: Combs Road & Meridian Road – A westbound shoulder closure will be in place on Combs Road for roadway and utility improvements. This restriction will be in place for 24 hours a day from Dec. 16 to Jan. 30.

A northbound double lane closure will be in place on Ellsworth Road for water and sewer line tie-ins for a new development between Empire Boulevard to San Tan Boulevard, starting Wed Dec 16th.
Public Works will be installing portable traffic signals Tuesday, December 8th at Hunt Hwy and Attaway Road.
To better accommodate traffic flow in the area, the schedule for paving work along US 60 through Gold Canyon has changed, with paving now set for 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 3) and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday next week (Dec. 7-9).
Motorists traveling along State Route 87 in the City of Coolidge (milepost 25) need to be aware that Tucson Electric Power Company will be performing utility work that will require 15-minute intermittent closures in both directions on Sunday (Aug. 16) from 4 a.m. to noon to install an overhead wire.
Ocotillo Road & Signal Butte Road – Northbound lane shift will be in place on Signal Butte Road for concrete curb and gutter work.
Pinal County Public Works crews are monitoring closed roads due to high water in and around washes. We will work to ensure that updated information is made available as soon as possible.
Road closed April 23-28 Beginning at 5 a.m., Monday, April 23, the Maricopa County contractor will temporarily close Riggs Road from east of Hawes Road to west of 203rd Place for six days to accommodate final construction activities on the new bridge crossing. During this time, Hawes Road and 203rd Place will remain open. Hunt Highway/Empire Boulevard, Chandler Heights Road and Ellsworth Road may be used as an alternate route. 
Pinal County Public Works is announcing a closure of Hunt Highway between Empire Road and Mountain Vista Road today Sunday, December 29 at 1:00 PM until Monday, December 30 at 5:00 AM.  Only emergency vehicles will be allowed between Empire Boulevard and Mountain Vista Road on Hunt Highway. 
Required Detour will Add 15-20 Minutes Travel Time Temporarily The Pinal County Public Works Department has been advised by the Copper Basin Railway that a track replacement and crossing repair project will require closure of State Route 79 between East Hunt Highway and Arizona Farms Road.  
The Pinal County Public Works Department is alerting drivers in the Queen Creek area of an improvement project taking place on Ocotillo Road between 214th Place and Rittenhouse Road. This project is being done by the Town of Queen Creek and Union Pacific Rail Road.
