San Tan Valley Area Information

Construction is currently taking place as SRP and Cox utilities are relocating their overhead facilities underground from approximately Thistle Trail through Magma Road.
MCDOT is making improvements to Riggs Road from Recker Road to Meridian Road, including construction of the north half of a future six-lane roadway from Ellsworth to Meridian roads (striped to provide one lane in each direction). The project will be completed in five phases.
A traffic shift will occur on the Ironwood Drive Safety Improvement Project beginning Saturday, September 30th.
Pinal County Public Works has selected several areas in San Tan Valley for fog seal treatments.  
The intersection of Ocotillo Road and Schnepf Road will be closed starting September 11th.
Several utilities will begin work on relocating facilities for the widening of Hunt Highway Phase 4 between Bella Vista Road and Magma Road.
Work begins this week on a project to renovate the junction of State Route 79 and SR 79B south of Florence, providing a safer intersection for travelers in central Pinal County.
Pinal County is advising that motorists avoid Empire Blvd, between Ellsworth and Gary Rd for the next several days (August 4th - August 7th).
Hunt Hwy from Copper Mine Rd to Arizona Farms Rd is now open to traffic.  
Pinal County started the installation of a new traffic light at the intersection of Gantzel Road and Chandler Heights Road June 26th.
Pinal County’s Hunt Highway Phase 4 and Gantzel Road Improvements are scheduled to begin construction in September 2017.
There is ongoing repair work on the Attaway Bridge approach slabs to provide a safer and smoother ride for vehicular traffic on Attaway Road south of Hunt Highway.
Advisory: AVOID Hunt Hwy for the next 24 hours due to flooding incident. Some roads closed.
Pinal County Public Works will be closing the intersection of Bella Vista Rd and Quail Run Lane on July 12th.
The record breaking Arizona heat isn't the only weather problem this time of year.
Repairs to the Attaway Road Bridge over the Gila River will begin on Monday, July 10. The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate the approach slabs on either end of the bridge, resulting in a safer and smoother ride for vehicular traffic.
Road work continues on Ironwood Drive as safety improvements are being constructed on this major arterial. The construction zone is Germann Road on the south to Eliot Road to the north.
Pinal County Public Works will be performing curb repair work on the southeast corner of the intersection of Johnson Ranch Boulevard and Golf Club Drive beginning July 5th.
Improvements to the intersection of Hunt Highway and Attaway Road are scheduled for Friday, July 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
In an effort to reduce vehicular incidents in the Town of Queen Creek, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) District 6 - Queen Creek is increasing traffic patrols from July through December.
