With summer right around the corner, now is the time to think about getting your pool swim ready. Maintenance can sometimes be overwhelming, but before you dive in, there are some things you should know that could save you money. We caught up with Steve Higgins of Platinum Home Warranty, and this guy knows his stuff about pools.
After meeting with my monthly group of Real Estate peers (who we all work for different companies we get together with once a month to go over the market trends, issues, advances and successes! ) I decided that our morning conversation needed to result in informing my public. We brought up what we all thought the market was going to look like this year and in the next few years. This got me excited to research a little more and share our thoughts and some thoughts of others with my general real estate public.
So many people are distracted by the holidays that they wouldn’t think of having time to look for a home… or do they? A lot of agents out there hang up their business for the holidays in anticipation that inventory will dwindle and purchases slow down to concentrate on the busyness of the holiday season upon us. They are not seeking buyers and sellers as regularly as during the rest of the year. Many buyers and sellers will assume the same thing and either remove their home from the market or wait until after the holiday to buy a new home. I say this isn’t always the best choice.
I recently had lunch with a Realtor friend of mine who happens to own her own real estate brokerage. We got on the topic of listings and how some homes could be considered overpriced in some areas even though there are recently (last 90 days) homes that have sold for the same amount of money. Sometimes oversupply and the lack of demand in an area can drive prices down a little.
September is right around the corner and fall is in the air, which makes me think of color changes… well, maybe not in the heart of Phoenix Arizona, but in other parts of Arizona and in other states…It was 74 the other morning when I woke up…I even made some pumpkin muffins! (wishful thinking) I would have to say FALL is traditionally my favorite SEASON.
As a homeowner you probably know your home better than anyone else, but with this said you may not be the best sales person for the job. You may see the dollar signs of saving by selling your home yourself.
Depending on where it is located… land is extremely valuable. It varies in price based on the closeness of a city, the amenities it provides or the views that you seek.
There are agents who specialize in buyers and some sellers, some who do both, to those who specialize in land, horse properties, high dollar properties and first time home buyers and everything in between.
Your bathroom is often the most used room in your home. It is usually one room that doesn't get remodeled as often as some of the other rooms in your home. It often costs more than most people want to spend on one of the smallest rooms in your house. It can cost a pretty huge chunk of change to get new flooring, switch out old showers and tubs, and knock out existing out-of-date tile or change vanities and lighting.
I was out showing homes the other day to two best friends, both South Dakota natives, one living in Arizona since the 1970′s and another looking for a home this year to join her in our sunshine state leaving her currently more expensive state of California where she has been calling home for years.
