Former Attorney General supports Walsh

Bud Heiss’ artwork will be on display at the arboretum.

Any county attorney worth his or her salt seldom, if ever, goes to court. There is just no time. The huge time commitment of a criminal trial requires a prosecutor to drop everything and concentrate on the best possible case for the people. If the county attorney did that, he would be turning his back on running an effective office. The key is getting the best people to do the very skilled and technical job of courtroom advocacy.

Hypocrites and political chameleons shouldn't get a pass.

There's a list of accomplishments "out there" achieved by Sheriff Paul Babeu. Kudos. Those accomplishment are to be admired. However, his character is as much a factor in serving as our sheriff as are his other duties. When a public servant decides to avoid detection of his true character or of questionable incidents resulting from that character's actions, he is committing fraud.

Honest citizens still exist

Yesterday, my 81 year old mother was shopping at the Fry’s grocery store in Gilbert, Arizona. During her shopping, she noticed that she had lost her $50K wedding ring. Needless to say, she panicked and rushed over to the customer service counter to speak with a manager. Unfortunately, her ring had not been found, or turned in. My mom was extremely upset. She drove straight home to our house in Queen Creek, and essentially broke down crying. My wife rushed outside of our house to tell me that my mom had lost her wedding ring, and was crying in the garage.

Help inspire the next generation of manufacturers

Who amongst us has not wondered in awe at the explosive power of Menthos and Coke, or for the more aged challenged amongst us, that old standby of baking soda and vinegar? I grew up with a house full of brothers and a neighborhood full of kids and am blessed to have three children of my own, so I have personally witnessed or taken part in any number of explosive creations or mangled engineering marvels. I am reasonably certain that should the zombie apocalypse my teenage boys warn me about actually come to bear, I could retire to my workshop and summon forth from my youth a stout zombie defense with some salt, brake fluid and one or two other purposely unmentioned ingredients.

Is Golf Failing Us in San Tan Valley

Living in the Valley of the Sun, we enjoy year round beautiful weather, (ok, I know, the summers are a little on the warm side), and we love our outdoor events. Many of us especially enjoy the days in the winter outside on our back patios, grilling, entertaining, and breathing in the amazing weather compared to family and friends in other parts of this land.

In response to Paul Messinger, President of the San Tan Republican Party.

 John Gaw, 43 / Deanna Gaw, 40

In 1976 I voted for Jimmy Carter. In 1980, I became a Republican in response to Jimmy Carter being the worst President until Barrack Obama.  Jimmy the smile spent money like a drunken sailor and took a downturn and made the worst economy since the great depression.

If Johnson Utilities Sells, Who Really Wins?

For many years now, most, if not all San Tan Valley residents have been impacted negatively by their local water provider Johnson Utilities. Just a simple Google search will reveal complaints about billing issues, poor customer service, the E-Coli scare in August of 2012, high nitrates in December of 2012, low water pressure last summer in some areas of Johnson Ranch, the San Tan Heights ponds fiasco, sewer spills, leaks, broken pipes, etc. For years the talk has been to be done with what has been perceived as one of the worst utility experiences many have had to endure.

I was the third person approached by this man at Ross

I would like to stay anonymous but I would like to inform people in the area of something that happened to me last week, Sept 20th.

I went to shop at the Ross located at Ellsworth Loop & Rittenhouse. After shopping I walked next door to the dollar store and shopped there as well. When I was done shopping I had to walk thru the parking lot and back towards my space in front of the Ross store. When I started to put my bags in the car a 4 door silver older model vehicle pulled up really close to back of my car. I was alarmed just because the car pulled up pretty close to me where I was packing in my items.
