Ocotillo Road & Signal Butte Road – Northbound lane shift will be in place on Signal Butte Road for concrete curb and gutter work.
Motorists traveling along US 60 between Phoenix and Globe on Thursday morning, Aug. 13, need to plan ahead or allow extra time as the Arizona Department of Transportation begins blasting work as part of a project to build a new passing lane and widen roadway shoulders east of Superior.
Intermittent overnight closures are needed next week to remove loose rock as part of new passing lane project.
Intermittent closures for blasting work will be necessary following Fourth of July weekend. Notices of all closures will be advertised a week before each closure is to occur.
Roadway utility work will take place on Empire Road just east of Gary Road beginning June 1st.
Motorists who travel regularly on US 60 between Globe and Phoenix need to be aware of a series of upcoming improvement projects that will impact traffic on the highway this summer.
Beginning on Friday, May 8th, contractors will begin a pavement preservation project on Ironwood Drive/Gantzel Road in the San Tan Valley area.
During the non-peak hours of 8:30am-4:pm, April 8th - April 14th, Combs Road will have flagging operations in place.
A water line is being installed and as a result will have restrictions in place during these days and times.
The restriction will be on Combs Road between Rittenhouse Road and Gantzel Road.
Due to the nature of the work, dates and times are subject to change without prior notice. Motorists are encouraged to obey all posted signs, traffic control devices and directions from law enforcement officers or flaggers who are controlling traffic.
At approximately 5:49 a.m. today, Pinal County Sheriff's Office received reports of a vehicle/pedestrian collision just south of Walmart on Hunt Hwy, in San Tan Valley, near Tumbling River.
