How to prepare your car for monsoon Season

From windshield wipers to taillights, certain car checks are critical as we enter the monsoon season. Below you will find the most important steps drivers can take to protect their cars and stay safe during our wild weather season.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office would like to warn everyone about a scam.

While the monsoon season officially stared a couple of weeks ago, storms can develop at any time.

The Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division is urging MVD customers to be careful when looking up websites for motor vehicle services. Copycat websites not operated by the MVD may charge for services people can otherwise get for free.

Rural Metro Fire was alerted this morning to a scam targeting San Tan Valley residents. A call is received from what appears to be a Rural Metro Fire Department phone number.

The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) is reminding taxpayers to exercise due diligence in the selection of tax preparers. The IRS indicates roughly 60 percent of tax filers use tax preparation services.

In many cases, scammers go as far as spoofing the SSA's number so as to appear to be from the government.

Attorney General Mark Brnovich is warning consumers to beware of fake ticket scams, ahead of several big events scheduled in Arizona. High profile sporting events and concerts are prime targets for scammers.
