The Pinal County Attorney’s Office and Pinal County Sheriff’s Office request a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union. The lawsuit challenges the constitutionality of Arizona’s Civil Asset Forfeiture laws.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., Pinal County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in the 5000 block of North Toltec Buttes Road, near Casa Grande. PCSO received a 911 call from an adult female at the residence reporting an armed 16-year-old male was outside the house threatening to shoot her boyfriend. Deputies arrived on-scene and located the suspect near the house.
UPDATE: Mr. Ronald Kellems was located at 7:30 a.m., on Oct 6th, by Gilbert PD. He was unharmed. Due to his advanced Alzheimer's, he was not able to tell officers where he had been. He is being returned to his family in Apache Junction. Thank you to all those that helped us locate him.
Starting October 1st, Pinal County Air Quality will resume issuing open burning permits in Area A, which includes San Tan Valley. Burn permits allow for the disposal of plant material by open burning during limited daytime hours.
