The Pinal County Attorney’s Office and Pinal County Sheriff’s Office request a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union. The lawsuit challenges the constitutionality of Arizona’s Civil Asset Forfeiture laws.

Bringing the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court (COSC) into the 21st Century is an unwavering goal of Clerk Amanda Stanford. “Smartphones are here to stay,” said Clerk Stanford, “and we need to understand that our customers no longer want to find a computer to get information from my office.” Indeed, Clerk Stanford is committed to the concept of the elimination of ‘office hours’ as we know it for most COSC customer needs.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., Pinal County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in the 5000 block of North Toltec Buttes Road, near Casa Grande. PCSO received a 911 call from an adult female at the residence reporting an armed 16-year-old male was outside the house threatening to shoot her boyfriend. Deputies arrived on-scene and located the suspect near the house.

UPDATE: Mr. Ronald Kellems was located at 7:30 a.m., on Oct 6th, by Gilbert PD. He was unharmed. Due to his advanced Alzheimer's, he was not able to tell officers where he had been. He is being returned to his family in Apache Junction. Thank you to all those that helped us locate him.

Starting October 1st, Pinal County Air Quality will resume issuing open burning permits in Area A, which includes San Tan Valley. Burn permits allow for the disposal of plant material by open burning during limited daytime hours.

Clerk Stanford, dedicated to enhancements that will help make her office available 24/7, has introduced a new app that returns upcoming court dates for the next thirty days based on either a Name or Case Number search. Data is refreshed every thirty minutes. Results will not be returned on cases or parties that are Sealed or Restricted.

She's only been the head of Pinal County Animal Care and Control for a few months and Director Audra Michael says she is make some needed changes to the organization.

The 3-1-1 digits are reserved for non-emergency local government services, and now there are 3-1-1 contact centers throughout the US and Canada.
