Workshop to review what, where to plant for success in Pinal County

Living in the East Valley, these green­thumbed botanophiles also have first-hand experiences with plants that have thrived or failed in their own home landscaping. Learn from their experiences and bring questions when they resume an informal fall-winter series of hour-long monthly workshops at 11 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month at the arboretum.

Right Plant, Right Place is the theme for their first workshop, scheduled for Oct. 5. Sessions continue with Container Garden­ing Nov. 2, and Attracting Hummingbirds Dec. 7. No pre-registration is required.

Superstition Mountain Master Garden­ers BTA workshops are included with the daily admission of $10 and at no charge to arboretum annual members and Arizona State Parks annual pass holders.

Other events at BTA include a history walk at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, followed by the opening of the big fall plant sale fundraiser, which kicks off 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 12 and runs through Oct. 27 with Sat­urday plant sale shopping and live music by the band Mrs. Lincoln.
