Country Thunder Music Festival is back
The Country Thunder Music Festival is back in Florence next week, with acts performing from Thursday through Sunday, bringing thousands of music lovers to the area.
Expect traffic congestion from as early as Tuesday, with those camping arriving in anticipation of the gates opening at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Wednesday is likely to see the heaviest daytime traffic, while Thursday through Sunday evenings will also see heavy traffic as concert-goers arrive for each night's event.You are advised to avoid Highway 79, using alternate routes if possible. The section between Arizona Farms Road and Butte Avenue will likely be most impacted.
PCSO and the Town of Florence Police will be regulating traffic at several intersections in the immediate area. Please be mindful of any traffic control and deputies assisting with traffic to help expedite any delays.
