As we celebrate, it's crucial to remember that fireworks can be both exciting and alarming. They can be particularly distressing for pets and combat veterans. Moreover, consumer fireworks can be dangerous when mishandled. Check out this informative video on fireworks use and safety as the holiday approaches.

Protect Your Pets This 4th of July
Pinal County Animal Care and Control urge residents to take extra care of their pets during the celebrations. With the center currently at capacity, it's important to ensure that pets don't run away during the 4th of July festivities.

Here are some tips to ensure your pet's safety:

  • Ensure your pets are microchipped and that contact information is up-to-date.
  • Bring your pets inside during the fireworks.
  • Distract your pets with calm music or chew toys during fireworks.
  • Secure all outdoor fences and gates.

Don't forget, there's a Free Microchip Event through July 4.
Let's ensure a safe and joyous Independence Day for everyone, including our furry friends!
