A highway study in Pinal County that would improve regional connectivity, provide an additional way of getting around a growing area of the Sun Corridor, and address current and future transportation needs in a growing area is moving forward under a new environmental review process. The project scope also incorporates the extension of State Route 24 from Ironwood Drive to the North South Corridor.

In previous years Schnepf Farm, through a partnership with Kiwanis International, was the place to go for many San Tan Valley residents to enjoy fireworks on the 4th of July. Due to extensive road construction this year surrounding the farm however, a decision was made back in May, not to host the event.

Dignity Health opened its newest freestanding emergency room in San Tan Valley, Arizona today. The new facility is licensed under Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital - Mesa, which opened last year in the East Valley.
