Anyone with a Pinal County library card can read thousands of comics, manga and graphic novels at no cost through Comics Plus, a digital service the library district offers in a web browser and through free apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.

There are no waitlists and no holds. The Pinal County Library District's digital collections page promises unlimited, simultaneous access, which means a popular title is never checked out. The district offers three collections: a full collection for all ages, a children's library and a teen library.

The library district featured Comics Plus in one of its staff highlights of digital resources. For readers wondering where to start, the district's staff picks lean toward manga and include "Delicious in Dungeon," "Fairy Tail" and "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime."

To start reading, go to the Comics Plus sign-in page at login.librarypass.com, and sign in with a library card number and PIN. Readers who do not have a card yet can get one through the Pinal County Library District at any branch, including the San Tan Valley Library at 31505 N. Schnepf Road, 520-866-8035.
