PetSmart opened its new store at Skyline Ranch Marketplace on Saturday, Sept. 12, bringing a grooming salon, pet training and a veterinary hospital to the northeast corner of Hunt Highway and Gary Road, according to the company.

The Sept. 12 opening included a grand opening celebration for local pet owners and their pets.

The store at 1412 W. Hunt Highway covers more than 18,000 square feet and carries food and supplies for cats, dogs, fish, birds, reptiles and small pets.

Along with the full-service grooming salon, PetSmart says the location offers pet training and has a veterinary hospital inside the store.

The company also plans to host pet adoptions at the location through PetSmart Charities and local animal welfare organizations. PetSmart describes PetSmart Charities as the largest funder of animal welfare in North America.

For shoppers who order online, the location handles same-day delivery and free in-store pickup.

Rack Room Shoes opened in the same shopping center that Saturday, and our What's Building page tracks what else has opened at Skyline Ranch Marketplace and what is still under construction.
