The Town of San Tan Valley will proclaim September as Military Families Month at its Sept. 16 Town Council meeting. The same night, the council will recognize Military Moms in QC / STV, an all-volunteer local group, for 20 years of service to the community.

The ceremony takes place during the council meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. in the Bronze Room at the San Tan Valley Library, 31505 N. Schnepf Road. Everyone is welcome. All veterans, military families, active duty and retired service members, friends and supporters will be honored during the ceremony.

"Join us to honor military families in San Tan Valley," founder Bridgette Crosby said in the group's announcement.

20 Years of Volunteer Support

Military Moms in QC / STV was founded in 2006 and is run entirely by volunteers. The group supports active duty service members, military families and veterans. It is free to join, and all are welcome.

The proclamation comes in partnership with the Town of San Tan Valley, and the ceremony is cobranded as an America250 and Arizona America250 event.
