San Tan Valley resident, Lori Johnson has been teaching dance as long as she can remember, starting at the early age of 14. For the past several years, she has held classes from her San Tan Valley Home.
This December she will be starting a new chapter in her life by opening a studio, where she is excited to welcome even more students into the Dance and Flip Zone family.
Lori's years of experience outside of her home include instruction at dc2, jeanne's School of Dance, Legacy performing arts and owner of Dance Pride Studio. She has worked with students ranging in age from 18 months to senior adults.
As a mother of 4, an instructor, choreographer, and business owner, there's not much time left in a day.
"Dancing is not just my hobby, it's part of my heart and my students hold a big piece of my heart also" said Johnson.
She loves dancing and teaching others to love the Art of Dance.
"Our new studio is located on Skyline Dr. and will be a huge asset to the community," said Johnson. "We offer very affordable classes for children and adults."
Classes include Tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, Hip-Hop, acrobatic performance team and tumbling. Their students perform around the valley at local events and festivities and visit several nursing homes to bring joy to their residents.
The new studio will be hosting birthday parties along with once a month parent night outs. Each month will be a different theme.
The studio will be offering scholarships as well. "The neighborhood we are located in houses many children that may never have the chance to participate in classes without this scholarship program", said Johnson. "With 80 students attending our home studio classes, we are hoping our new studio and scholarship program will allow even more students to join our family."
An Open House and Grand Opening celebration will take place this Saturday, December 1st from 10am-2pm at 5388 E. Skyline Dr. San Tan Valley 85140. There will be local vendors, carnival style games and food, face painting and opportunities to win free classes.
