Notice from FUSD re: Parent / Referee Altercation
Law enforcement was contacted immediately and the situation was quickly de-escalated due to their fast action. We would like to thank the Florence Police Department for their quick response and support. We are proud of our school administrators and teachers who were in attendance and stepped between the two men.
The Florence Unified School District does not condone or accept this type of unprofessional behavior. This behavior is in direct opposition to our vision and mission as a district and sets the wrong example for kids. Furthermore, the district has taken swift action to resolve the issue regarding the unprofessional conduct of the two adults. The safety of our children is at the forefront of every decision we make as a district.
