Ellsworth Elementary, The “Chairs” to Non-Fiction

The chairs are located right in the entrance of the Library so they are the first thing students see when they walk in. She rotates non-fiction books on the chairs according to the grade levels that are in the Library at that time.

For a student to occupy the chairs, they must check out the non-fiction book that is in the chair they want to sit in, read it at least three times, and then score 80 percent or higher on the Accelerated Reader (A.R.) test.
