On September 9th, social studies classes interacted with students about the events and effects of September 11.
Throughout the week, CMS social studies classes focused on a different aspect of building patriotism - citizenship, Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Bill of Rights, and the characteristics of being patriotic.
Before the end of the week, the entire school community participated in "Red, White & Blue Day” by dressing in these colors.
The goal of the week was to help students understand what it means to be patriotic and the people, documents, and ideals that make the foundation of our nation.
