Central Arizona College Opens Registration for Summer Bridge Program 2023

Central Arizona College (CAC) is offering its Summer Bridge program for the year 2023, and recent high school graduates from classes of 2021, 2022, or 2023, as well as GED recipients, are invited to register. The five-day residential orientation program will take place from August 6 to August 10 at the CAC Signal Peak Campus in Coolidge, Arizona.

The Summer Bridge program is free and offers workshops and activities aimed at helping attendees become successful college students while also meeting new friends. Students will stay in the CAC residence halls and will receive a comprehensive orientation to college life. The program is designed for incoming freshman students who have recently graduated from high school or obtained their GED and are planning to attend CAC's Signal Peak Campus in Fall 2023.

To be eligible for the program, students must meet certain requirements, such as being a first-generation college student, having completed the FAFSA, having a documented disability, and intending to transfer to a four-year university to qualify for TRIO services. Students must meet at least one of the listed requirements to apply.

CAC has been providing engaging and exciting college orientations for nearly 20 years through the TRIO Summer Bridge program. It is the only all-inclusive residential college orientation program held in Arizona.

Enrolled TRIO students can expect to receive individualized advising and academic and social support to ensure college completion. The program also offers free tutoring, copying, faxing, and the use of laptops in the TRIO office, as well as the opportunity to connect with campus staff, faculty, and students. TRIO students also develop personal, academic, and social skills necessary for success in college, have access to knowledgeable peer mentors, and receive individualized academic advising throughout their time at CAC.

Students interested in the Summer Bridge program should visit to complete the online application. Eligibility requirements are based on federal guidelines.
