Beware of Smishing Attacks
Smishing is on the rise – and hackers are getting better than ever at stealing personal information.
What's smishing?Smishing is when a hacker attempts to obtain your personal information through scam text messages. Sometimes, they can even pose as your bank.
Follow these three tips to make sure you don't get scammed.
- Don't click any links. Scam links can invite malware onto your device. Log in to online banking or use the app instead.
- Don't share any personal information. We won't ever ask you for sensitive information over text.
- Go directly to the source. Got a suspicious message about your bank account? Log in to online banking and message us securely to confirm.
