Beware of Smishing Attacks

smishing

Smishing is on the rise – and hackers are getting better than ever at stealing personal information.

What's smishing?

Smishing is when a hacker attempts to obtain your personal information through scam text messages. Sometimes, they can even pose as your bank.

Follow these three tips to make sure you don't get scammed.

  1. Don't click any links. Scam links can invite malware onto your device. Log in to online banking or use the app instead.
  2. Don't share any personal information. We won't ever ask you for sensitive information over text.
  3. Go directly to the source. Got a suspicious message about your bank account? Log in to online banking and message us securely to confirm.
