Cavanaugh Drops Out of Sheriff's Race

Cavanaugh Drops Out of Sheriff's Race

Only days after announcing that he was running for Pinal County Sheriff, Kevin Cavanaugh has pulled out of the race and thrown his support behind Mark Lamb.

In a letter announcing his decision to leave the race, Cavanaugh states that presenting a united front behind one candidate is the best way to accomplish regime change.

His full letter is posted below.

Dear friends and supporters. There comes a time when the mission is bigger than the man. The need for leadership change at PCSO is just such a mission.

At PCSO, There are 200 sworn deputies calling for back up, and much like on the street, all officers respond regardless of agency or affiliation due to the unwritten code that is embodied in the symbol of the thin blue line - and for this reason I filed an exploratory committee concerning this race.

I could see good officers and civilian employees suffering under a regime having questionable ethics, and I have experience fighting such regimes.

Mark Lamb is a person of good moral character and high integrity. Mark will surround himself with people of experience, good character, and wisdom when he is elected.

Presenting a united front behind one candidate is the best way to accomplish regime change which is my number one priority in Pinal County.

Please join me in supporting Mark Lamb for Sheriff.

Current Pinal County Sheriff Candidates: Mark Lamb, Kaye Dickson, Kevin Taylor and Chief Deputy Steve Henry
