Pioneer Justice Court to Host Warrant Resolution Day in San Tan Valley
San Tan Valley residents with outstanding warrants through the Pioneer Justice Court will have an opportunity to address their cases without fear of arrest during a special event later this month.
The court will host a Warrant Resolution Day on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at its location at 3675 E. Hunt Highway in San Tan Valley.
This event is designed to help individuals with active warrants issued by the Pioneer Justice Court take steps toward resolving their cases. Those who attend can have their warrant quashed and begin the process of bringing their case back into compliance.
Justice of the Peace Shaun Babeu will open the court on a weekend to make it easier for people who may have missed previous hearings due to work, school, or other obligations.
"Many people face a difficult choice between appearing in court and risking their employment," Babeu said in the announcement. "Our goal is to give individuals an opportunity to resolve their cases and clear their warrants."
Officials say resolving warrants proactively can help individuals avoid being taken into custody during routine interactions, such as traffic stops. It also reduces costs to taxpayers and allows law enforcement to focus on other community needs.
According to the court, individuals attending the event may also receive help with:
- Restarting missed payment plans for criminal or civil traffic cases
- Exploring the Community Service Program for those facing financial hardship
- Taking steps toward reinstating a suspended driver's license
Judge Babeu emphasized that the event is meant to helpβnot penalizeβthose who participate.
"There will be no arrests during this event," he said. "Defendants will leave with a new court date, a payment plan, or another appropriate resolution."
Previous Warrant Resolution Days held by the court have cleared more than 150 warrants and helped many residents regain their driving privileges.
Currently, the Pioneer Justice Court has approximately 1,070 active misdemeanor warrants. Its jurisdiction includes San Tan Valley and the Pinal County portion of Queen Creek. This event applies only to cases filed within that court.
Individuals who believe they may have an active warrant are encouraged to contact the court at 480-380-7312 to check their case status and confirm eligibility before attending.
