Pinal County has been honored with two prestigious Golden Prospector Awards from the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED), celebrating the County's innovative and effective economic development initiatives. The awards were presented at AAED's recent Fall Forum, recognizing excellence in the field of economic development.

The first award, in the Multimedia Promotion Category, was given to the County for its "Pinal County Workforce Recruitment Video Campaign." The campaign showcased the rich job opportunities and enviable quality of life in the region, aimed at attracting skilled workers from key U.S. regions. This video series stood out for its in-house production by the County's Communications & Marketing Department, which proved to be remarkably cost-efficient. The campaign reached an impressive audience, generating over 63,000 impressions and driving 500 clicks to the County's website, as it was strategically disseminated across various social media platforms.

Furthermore, Pinal County's collaborative effort with the Phoenix Business Journal resulted in a second Golden Prospector Award in the Special Event Category. The event titled "Pinal County 2022: Arizona's New Manufacturing Region" was tailored to inform and engage business leaders unfamiliar with the County's burgeoning development and opportunities. Through panel discussions featuring executives from prominent local companies, attendees gained insight into the strategic advantages of operating in Pinal County. The Phoenix Business Journal amplified the event's impact by producing editorial content that reached tens of thousands more in the business community, both online and in their print edition.

The awards were received by two of the County's economic development champions, James Smith, Director of Economic and Workforce Development, and Courtney Gulley, Economic Development Coordinator. Their presence at the forum and the receipt of the awards highlighted Pinal County's commitment to fostering a robust economic environment.

These accolades from the AAED underscore Pinal County's dedication to economic innovation and growth. Through strategic multimedia campaigns and influential partnerships, the County has effectively positioned itself as a premier location for new and expanding businesses, signaling a bright future for economic prosperity in Arizona's heartland.

Pinal County continues to set a standard for economic development in the state, and these awards from the AAED are a testament to the hard work and strategic planning by county officials and staff.
