Pinal County Community Rallies to Support 'Shop with the Sheriff' Event for 2023

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) is once again extending its heart and helping hand to local families this holiday season through the "Shop with the Sheriff" program. With a successful track record in 2022, where 107 children from 39 families were given a brighter Christmas, PCSO is calling upon the spirit of giving that embodies our residents and businesses.

As we find ourselves amidst the challenges of 2023, many families face tougher times than ever before. The impact of inflation and increasing insecurities has left a void under many Christmas trees, and the simple joys of the season seem out of reach for some. It's during these times of year that the generosity of the community can shine the brightest.

Sheriff Mark Lamb, known for his dedication to the community, will be personally joining in to shop with a family, highlighting the personal commitment the PCSO has to this cause. The "Shop with the Sheriff" event has become a beacon of hope for those families identified by PCSO deputies throughout their daily service as struggling to make ends meet.

Throughout the year, contributions to the "Shop with the Sheriff" funds have been utilized to bring relief and support to families facing need, trauma, or tragedy. When the holidays come around, the initiative takes a festive turn, with deputies, staff, and volunteers accompanying selected children on a Christmas shopping spree for their families.

Gift cards in hand, the children often opt to buy not only toys but also essential items—staple foods, warm blankets, clothing, shoes, and kitchen items—essentials that many of us take for granted.

In preparation for this year's event, PCSO is actively seeking donations to ensure that the selected families can experience the joy and warmth of the holiday season. With the guarantee that 100% of all donations go directly to the families, every dollar can make a substantial difference in the lives of the children and their loved ones.

Those willing to contribute to this meaningful cause can make online donations. Contributors are asked to select "Shop with the Sheriff" from the "payment type" drop-down menu to ensure the funds are appropriately allocated.

The PCSO and the families it serves deeply appreciate any amount given, as every donation breathes life into the season's spirit of generosity. For additional information or inquiries, community members can reach out to Sergeant Roderick Harrison at the provided phone number or email address listed below.

By rallying together, the residents of Pinal County have a unique opportunity to make this holiday season one to remember for their neighbors in need. Let's fill the season with hope and joy and truly embody the spirit of giving.
