Pinal County Commission Seeks Public Comment on Superior Court Judge Candidates

The Pinal County Commission on Trial Court Appointments has announced that it is seeking public input on seven candidates for two openings on the Superior Court in Pinal County. These positions became available after Hon. Lacey A. Stover Gard and Hon. Christopher J. O' Neil were appointed to Division Two of the Arizona Court of Appeals.

The candidates in question are Jessica K. Hernandez Dixon, Danielle Harris, Karen F. Palmer, Jamie R. Ramirez, Matthew S. Reed, Megan K. Weagant, and Lawrence M. Wharton. Members of the public can view the candidates' applications on the Commission's website at azcourts.gov/jnc.

The Commission will interview the candidates on March 28th in room 2130 of the Superior Court in Pinal County located at 971 N. Jason Lopez Circle, Building A, Florence, AZ 85132. The agenda for the interviews will be posted on the Commission's website at least seven days prior to the meeting. Citizens are welcome to address the Commission on March 28th. Washington St., Suite 221, Phoenix, AZ 85007. The Commission will only consider comments received by March 23rd, and anonymous comments will not be taken into account.

After the interviews, the Commission will recommend at least three nominees for each opening to Gov. Katie Hobbs. She will then appoint the new judges.
