County Recorder: Early Voting Affidavit Redesigned

Vote by mail ballots should start arriving as early as this Friday with Election Day being November 5th. Five of the seven budget override votes will be conducted by mail only. Voters who require special assistance or a replacement ballot should contact the Recorder's Office at 520-866-6853.

County Recorder Ross stated, "I'm very pleased to announce the first redesign of the voter affidavit since the Permanent Early Voter list was established in 2007. I heard from the voters and they requested a higher level of privacy in order to securely return their early ballots in the mail. This redesign provides a higher level of identity theft protection for early mail voters."

The County Recorder advises early voters not to pull the tab protecting the signature. Signature verification is completed at the Recorder's office ahead of reporting election night results.

The Recorder's office is responsible for keeping safe and accurate documentation of deeds, liens and other official documents pertaining to properties, contracts and more. In addition, the County Recorder maintains accurate voter registration data and is responsible for all aspects of an election.

The Pinal County Recorder's Office is headquartered in Florence with service locations in Apache Junction and Casa Grande. Voters can check the Pinal County Elections website under Upcoming Elections to see which school districts are conducting budget override elections.
