Arizona's first private automotive country club is now in fifth gear and it's being built right here in Pinal County.
Crews broke ground on October 15th and construction is currently under way on the $40 million Apex Motor Club, which will house a new 280-acre development. The project, which was unanimously approved by the Maricopa City Council and Planning & Zoning Commission, will include two racing circuits, numerous garage condominiums for car storage, a clubhouse, a multi-purpose building and all of the amenities of an exclusive country club in a setting like few others in the country.
The Phase One Track is projected to be operational in February of 2019. Memberships are currently on sale for $30,000 to $75,000 and limited to 100 for Phase One. The initial 100 ‘signature members’ will receive special perks.
"Apex is a first-of-its-kind automobile country club for the greater Phoenix area and to bring it here to Maricopa where hall of famers, car collectors and car enthusiasts can drive their prized possessions around a first class facility. It is a huge win for not only the City of Maricopa but also for Arizona and the entire Southwest region,” said Maricopa Mayor Christian Price.
Backing the project is a sophisticated and diverse development team that includes a well-known team of founding members combined with RJT Companies as the general contractor.
Notable members include Indy Car Driver and NBC Sports Racing commentator Paul Tracy, two-time Indy 500 Winner Arie Luyendyk and avid car collector, Founding Member and the CEO of the “World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions,” Craig Jackson.
“The Valley is a mecca for car enthusiasts and Apex Motor Club is an incredible opportunity for not only myself, as an avid car collector to take my cars out on the track, but for anyone passionate about cars to do so as well,” said Craig Jackson. “It will be an amazing, safe location to gather with enthusiasts. I’m especially proud to lend my name and be part of what will very soon be a state-of-the-art facility and really a first of its kind for the Phoenix area.”BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
