Rural Metro saved our Christmas and not only did they save our Christmas but during the summer they shared Armani's flyer for her cure SMA stand & even brought some of the crew and the fire truck to my house for Armani and the other kids and bought lemonade. They have been to my house SAVING Armani's life multiple times doing the best they...
As a resident of Encanterra, I am astounded that Queen Creek has determined to move ahead with annexation of our community despite a pending appeal before the appellate court. Apparently they are so certain of the appellate court's decision they have already started changing our police, first responders and fire suppression services. At...
Dear Men and Women of the San Tan Valley Rural Metro Fire Dept., Especially the firefighter's and paramedics who saved my husbands life on Good Friday morning, April xx, 2019. My husband was very restless that morning. He could not get comfortable. He complained of both arms hurting. Finally, after trying to get him off his knees in front of t...
America continues witnessing an epidemic of gun violence that concerns all of us. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other sources, on average each year there are 36,000 killed in our country. And some 100,000 more are injured by guns. A grim total of some 136,000 lives torn apart each year by a seemingly unstoppable epidemic.
An open letter to the residents of the Town of Queen Creek and San Tan Valley. Shared with ❤️ and kindness.
On Friday, June 21st the Town Council made public a proposed settlement of its outstanding disputes with Florence Copper. The Town Council says it is willing to resolve the outstanding court cases. However, by attempting to dictate a one-sided settlement with a 45-day take-it-or-leave-it drop dead date their action suggests otherwise.
Thirty-three of thirty-four states who have approved the use of medical marijuana have also required mandatory testing to ensure patient safety. Guess which state doesn’t?
The Town of Queen Creek has been on a systematic path over the last two years to take over Johnson Utilities service area near its borders by any means necessary, including through dubious business practices, misleading regulators and customers, and now outright poaching. Are these underhanded ploys a road to annexation?
Growing up biracial, I would say I was a bit confused on how to identify myself. My mother is white and my father is black. Although interracial dating is accepted today (somewhat) and a lot more common, that doesn’t erase the history that comes with it.
Last evening I unfortunately had to call for help two times. My husband has dementia and wasn't injured but fell twice.
Following our recent election, as 2018 draws to a close it is not an exaggeration to say that Pinal County residents have much for which to be grateful. Despite illogical political reward to candidates who fail to represent one’s best interests, we’ve generally survived the over-heated campaigns.
This is in reference to Encanterra Annexation (Case No. P18-0103). I am a resident of Encanterra and I do not support annexation by Queen Creek.
I WANT YOU TO CONTACT THE ARIZONA CORPORATION COMISSISSION (ACC)! TODAY, Monday October 15, 2018 the ACC is going to be voting on if, or how they intend to handle developers that want to build new homes. The ACC needs to hear from you!
Private water utilities have been provided a tax refund due to the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2018, but Global Water’s Maricopa customers aren’t getting the full amount they deserve. Their tax savings have been reduced to only a one-time bill credit for the tax credits of their January through September 2018 bills.
We did not ask for nor do we choose to be annexed into Queen Creek. We are a large and increasing number of residents living in a development named Encanterra located in unincorporated San Tan Valley close to the southeastern border of Queen Creek. On May 3, 2018, a handful of residents living in Encanterra took it upon themselves to make a preliminary application with the Town of Queen Creek to annex Encanterra as well as other adjacent farmland, Fry’s Marketplace, and the medical plaza on the Encanterra side of Gantzel Road. Later on June 5, this same group filed a formal application for this purpose. Subsequently, the annexation map was revised two more times, each time eliminating some of the adjacent land until it included only Encanterra.
