Anyone that has read her resume and her endorsements knows Stacy Gramazio brings pretty much all the attributes listed above, plus she is the only candidate with classroom experience, nearly a decade. Much more important though, is her actual successful results as a teacher. Successful former students of Stacy’s enthusiastically praise and endorse her. In addition Stacy is a professional communicator.
As a community, we need to recognize that great teachers, not voiceless cogs are the key to a results oriented school district. FUSD needs that ground level education savvy represented on its Governing Board by a talented communicator. In my opinion, that needs to be Stacy Gramazio.
If that were not reason enough for me to want Stacy Gramazio elected, I think we need a FUSD Governing Board that appreciates common interest over parochial bias. Florence, San Tan Valley and the San Tan Foothills all have children in FUSD schools.
It is not uncommon to find Florence families that measure their residency and traditions in generations, nor first generation San Tan Valley families that moved there for the opportunity to initiate new traditions of their own design, and the San Tan Foothills folk just ain’t much on living the city life. However; we are much more alike than we are different. We share a school district and a lot more, but still some people fear our obvious cultural diversity might influence spending. They should instead be thankful, as we are each unique facets of a larger, richer regional citizenry. Stacy Gramazio gets that. We are parents, and grandparents. We are as varied as partitioned shops in a mall, but what a splendidly competitive mall we are together. We all want our children and our chosen community to shine and flourish, and the truth is, we will either accomplish that together or together we will fail. Individually we are but colors on the pallet our children will paint their world from. Whether you have chosen Florence or San Tan Valley as your home, if you live within the FUSD, the future of your children and the shared future they will envision and create is being written right now, little by little day by day in “our” classrooms. Stacy Gramazio gets that. Not everyone does.
