Students are home after fall break, the holidays are fast approaching, and it is time to plan for the next school year.
Families have more options than ever to find the best school for their children after Arizona recently expanded education freedom for all families. With more options than ever, families can choose schools based not only on outcomes for their children but on the environment where their students can learn.
After teaching at various schools and styles as an educator and administrator for nearly 20 years, I joined Legacy Traditional Schools last summer to be the principal of its new San Tan campus. I want to share why your family should consider Legacy as your choice for your child's education.
Since my first day at Legacy, I noticed its strong tradition of building lasting relationships in the communities that our students, teachers, and staff call home. Legacy fosters a community with all families to help bring our students an exceptional education and a lifetime love of learning.
This is achieved, in part, with our Back-to-Basics approach to learning. Our classrooms offer direct instruction, with individual desks in rows - a proven teaching method that works in education. This model challenges and supports individual student needs and focuses on developing skillful learners.
Some things that make Legacy's approach successful include setting high expectations for academics and behavior, our self-contained K-6 classrooms, bell-to-bell instruction, integrated Language Arts (Spalding), a nationally recognized math curriculum, and more.
At Legacy, we concentrate on growing complete students—students who learn how to be successful, contributing members of their communities and in every area of their lives.
For example, beginning in third grade, students can choose between two elective programs: Momentum Fitness or Mozart Performing Arts. Each offers nearly an hour of instruction daily, four days per week. Parents can pursue the program that best fits their child's interests and skills.
Your family is invited to campus for our District Wide New Family Info Night on November 17, 2022, and you will be able to see why Legacy may be the perfect fit - not only for your child but your entire family!
