Students in Central Arizona College's drone program will benefit from new scholarship funding thanks to a recent donation from the Superstition Radio Control Helicopter Association (SRCHA).

The Central Arizona College Foundation received a $2,500 contribution from SRCHA to provide ongoing scholarship support for students enrolled in the college's drone program.

The funding comes from SRCHA's annual raffle held during the Southwest Heli Rodeo at CAC's Signal Peak Campus. The event highlights the club's passion for radio-controlled helicopters while also serving as a fundraiser to give back to local students.

The Signal Peak Campus is an SRCHA Academy of Model Aeronautics affiliated flying field, and the club hosts monthly fly days at the location. The 20th Annual Southwest Heli Rodeo is scheduled to return to the campus in November 2026.

Community members are invited to attend upcoming events, learn more about radio-controlled aviation, and support the organization's scholarship efforts.
