Central Arizona College Wins Approval to Offer First-Ever Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education
Central Arizona College (CAC) has received full approval from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) to launch a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (BSEE), the college's first four-year degree. The 120-credit program is scheduled to begin Fall 2026.
"This is the first bachelor's degree to be offered by Central Arizona College," said Patrick Moyer, Academic Dean, Arts and Sciences. "At CAC, our commitment to Pinal County drives everything we do. We're excited to expand our offerings with four-year and post-baccalaureate degrees designed to strengthen our local workforce and boost economic growth."The BSEE is designed to prepare graduates to enter classrooms ready to teach and serve local schools. Cara Steiner, Lead Faculty for Elementary Education, said the program targets "a critical need for dedicated, highly qualified teachersβin Pinal County and across Arizona."
"Through powerful community partnerships, innovative academic programs, and some of the most affordable tuition rates in the state, CAC is shaping the future of education while creating opportunities that change lives," Steiner added. Students will be admitted in cohorts to foster a strong learning community and consistent support throughout the program.
Additional program details, including admissions timelines and cohort structure, will be released as Fall 2026 approaches.
